This true crime book is about the 1988 murder of Lisa Marie Kimmell. The murder made headlines nationwide and is memorable because her Montana license plates read "Lil Miss". Lisa was driving from Denver, CO to Billings, MT through Casper on the night of March 25, 1988. She disappeared and her body was discovered in the North Platte River near Old Government Bridge on April 2, 1988. This was a cold case until 2002, when DNA evidence linked Dale Wayne Eaton to the crime. Eaton was convicted of Lisa's murder in 2004 and is currently Wyoming's lone death row inmate. Investigators believe that Eaton may be a serial killer, responsible for a handful of other disappearances and murders.
If you are looking for a more emotional version of this event, check out "The Murder of Lil Miss", a book written by the victim's mother Sheila Kimmel.
